Veteran Trade Targets For Dynasty Fantasy Football: Jakobi Meyers, Chris Godwin and More
Sam Wallace profiles four veterans to target in the dynasty fantasy football trade streets.
While dynasty rookie mock drafts are all the rage as people navigate their own rookie drafts, one thing not to lose sight of at this time in the offseason is veterans worth acquiring in your dynasty leagues.
Let's run through four veterans who I think are worth targeting in the trade market for teams looking for an extra boost in 2026.
Veteran Trade Targets In Dynasty Fantasy Football
Stefon Diggs | WR | FA
Seemingly absolved of his recent off-the-field incident, Stefon Diggs remains one of the top remaining NFL free agents. In his first season with the Patriots, he posted 85-1,013-4 on 102 targets. He has now gone over 1,000 receiving yards in seven of his last eight seasons, with his lone "down" year coming in 2024 when he only played in eight games due to a knee injury.
From recent reports, it appears as though both the Chiefs and Commanders could be potential landing spots for Diggs, and both make a ton of sense. The Chiefs are trying to reload and build a viable receiving room for Patrick Mahomes, while the Commanders are desperate to bounce back from a disappointing 2025 campaign.
Diggs would be a solid addition to either of those offenses. He's 32 years old, but his style of play and target-earning ability will make him more than fantasy viable this season and next. A two-year contract seems not only plausible but likely at this point.
Jakobi Meyers | WR | JAX
Death, taxes and Jakobi Meyers perpetually being an underrated fantasy asset year after year. I know he was the poster child for not scoring TDs early in his career, but he's finished as a top-32 wideout in each of his last five seasons. In fact, until last season, he had progressively finished higher each year.
- 2021 - WR30
- 2022 - WR28
- 2023 - WR24
- 2024 - WR19
- 2025 - WR32
It may have taken until Year 6 for him to top 1,000 receiving yards, but all Meyers has done throughout his career is quietly produce for fantasy managers. He's still only 29 years old and is projected to be in a three-man race for the WR1 role in Jacksonville this season.

Parker Washington is getting all the offseason buzz right now and despite his brutal sophomore season, it's hard to entirely forget about how dominant Brian Thomas was as a rookie. Both are ranked well ahead of Meyers in both redraft and dynasty formats.
Meyers carries a dynasty ADP of WR55. If you're telling me that I can get a strong WR3 that is valued outside of the top-50 at his position, who is still under 30 years old with a proven track record of production, I'll be making that acquisition every time.
Chris Godwin | WR | TB
Now a nine-year veteran, Chris Godwin has appeared in just 16 games over the last two seasons. A dislocated ankle back in Week 7 of the 2024 season, coupled with recurring lower leg injuries, cost him the better part of two seasons. However, he appears to be back on track and could be stepping into a productive role this season.
The Buccaneers will no longer have Mike Evans (49ers) at their disposal for the first time since 2013. That leaves Godwin as the elder statesman in a wideout room featuring rising star Emeka Egbuka and young talent in Jalen McMillan, Tez Johnson and newly drafted rookie Ted Hurst.
Egbuka will be the focal point for fantasy managers (both redraft and dynasty), but there's enough evidence to warrant strong consideration for Godwin. Namely, his price will be significantly lower than Egbuka's.
As of this writing, Egbuka is valued as a top-10 dynasty wideout while Godwin currently sits outside the top-60 at the position. However, for dynasty managers looking to add a relatively inexpensive piece to their competing squad, here's how both wideouts stack up in our projections heading into the 2026 season.

Over the projected 16 games played for both, that's 1.6 points per game (PPR). I will absolutely take Godwin at a massive discount over Egbuka. Now, of course, I'd prefer to roster the younger, more valuable asset, but if you're piecing together a competitive squad at the bargain bin this summer, Godwin is a prime target for any and all dynasty managers.
Dalton Schultz | TE | HOU
Candidly, I feel like it's pretty easy to find relatively cheap wideouts to insert in your lineup in dynasty leagues. There are so many guys you can make a case for that plugging holes on your roster becomes relatively routine. However, if you are in desperate need of a TE this offseason, Dalton Schultz is a name you want to be paying attention to.
Getting set for his ninth season, Schultz is coming off a year that saw him set career-high marks in both targets (106) and receptions (82). He was second on the Texans in receptions behind only Nico Collins. In fact, our projections have him finishing second on the team in both categories this season as well.
At the TE position, you either have a top-end, elite option or you don't. If you have to stream the position, you're essentially looking for TD-upside/variance anyway. Why not take a shot on the guy who is projected to operate as his team's No. 2 option in the passing game, who has been super durable throughout his career?
I've been in on C.J. Stroud as a bit of a post-hype sleeper this season after his disastrous 2025 season. He'll certainly be highly motivated by the potential of a massive contract, so a lot is riding on this season for several factors. All that plays into Schultz being a viable dynasty trade target, turning 30 years old next month.
Schultz might not offer you week-winning, multi-TD weeks, but his floor is about as safe as they come. A player sporting that type of profile certainly has their place on your dynasty roster.
